The Role
As a Founding Product Designer at Opine, you will:
- Craft and refine our design system, user interface, and user experience.
- Have a deep understanding of user behavior and requirements, while designing prescriptive, enjoyable, high-fidelity solutions for our engineering teams to execute on.
- Balance specific customer feedback with overarching product strategy to guide the design and product roadmap on an optimal path.
- Have a mix of graphical skills, technical skills, leadership, and adaptability in a fast-paced, multifaceted startup environment, emphasizing progress and customer satisfaction while building a unified product.

Key Responsibilities
- Make pivotal decisions on the product design roadmap, shaping the future of Opine.
- Spearhead high-fidelity web application designs in consideration of our front-end engineering stack: Next.js and Tailwind CSS
- Grow and mentor a world-class product design team, and embed our values and vision.
- Drive high-velocity decision-making processes, while adapting to evolving business needs.
- Collaborate closely with team members and customers to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- You re a great writer and have an appreciation for great writing.
- Deep expertise in modern design tools (e.g. Figma) and practices.
- Experience with React, Next, Tailwind, Vue or other front-end engineering frameworks. (You don t have to code, but you have to understand engineering.)
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and drive team alignment.
- Excellent mentoring and leadership skills, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

This position is remote-friendly, but we d love to have you co-locate with us in Raleigh/Durham, NC. There is something truly special about the whiteboard sessions and post-work drinks.
