Position Overview
- Collect and review information concerning contractor business practices and prior audit findings from in-house permanent files and/or discussions with contractor.
- Collect, compile, and analyze contract cost data from accounting records and in-house files to identify risk areas (risk assessment) for transaction testing against contractor policies, supporting documentation, contract terms, and government regulations.
- Perform audits using office templates in accordance with office policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS).
- Conduct entrance and exit conferences with the contractor documenting both in the work papers.
- Prepare results of audit using office templates for reports, exhibits, and schedules.
- Create audit work paper package using in-house templates.
- Cross reference work papers.
- Identify contract terms by reviewing contract (base and mods.) using in-house briefing tool.
- Document all conversations concerning audit in work paper package.
- Use in-house sampling programs to test costs to determine whether or not the claimed costs are allowable.
Required Skills - Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
