That s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network, the DoD needs.As a network engineer on our team, you ll work with the DoD to develop a reliable network to support critical missions. You ll collaborate with SMEs, customers and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You ll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you ll put your hardware and

5+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks

Experience with routing and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs

Experience with deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, or VMware

Experience on a Trained Network Engineering staff by providing and explaining different network designs and implementations

Experience with evaluating emerging te chn ologies and creating implementation strategies for inclusion in the wider network

Secret Clearance

Bachelor s degree

IAT Level 2 Certification, including Security+Nice If You Have:

Experience with Secret classified networks and encryption systems

Experience with DoD networks

Experience with Commer cia l or DoD Cloud networks

Experience with

Sof tware Defined Wide Area Networks

( SD-WAN )

Bachelor s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Te chn ology, Cybersecurity, or a

related

field

Industry Networking Certification, including CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, JN CIA , or JNCPClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen s total compensation package for employees.
