Our Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) Staff ensure that all individuals are given the tools they need to achieve their maximum potential regardless of any special needs or learning difficulties.

HCBS Staff get to create moments of learning with respect to our individuals so that they can become as independent as they possibly can be.

The Role

  • Provide care and supervision consistent with the health needs of the person (Member) to supplement care to provide a safe living environment and/or to support or relieve caregivers for the benefit of the person.
  • Ensure provision of food to meet daily dietary needs. Therapeutic diets requiring specialized ingredients or food supplements will be supplied by the family.
  • Provide first aid and appropriate attention to injury and illness.
  • Provider will be able to communicate effectively with the Member/family in their primary language (i.e. American Sign Language, Spanish, etc.).
  • May need to transport Member in their care
  • Responsible for assisting clients 1:1 in group activities, toileting, hygiene and feeding as needed.
  • Completes daily notes on their assigned Members.
  • The goal is to provide relief to the primary care giver while supporting the emotional, physical and mental well-being of eligible individuals.
  • Ensure individual receives medication as prescribed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Email Access
  • Must have a valid Driver's License

Expected Hours per Week: 8 hours

The schedule for this position is currently Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, from 2:30-6:30 pm, with potential for expanded hours, if desired.

Pay Range: $15-$17/hr
