Staff to Principal Machine Learning Engineer AdTech leader
Palo Alto, CA (you can work from home up to 2 days/week)
The company is publicly traded and is rapidly growing. Its products are in the realms of mobile, gaming, b2b2c, and adtech.
Within its product segment, the company is increasingly taking market share from Facebook and Google. There are only about 20 companies in the world with comparable scale as this company, but unlike most of those companies, this company only has about 80 engineers!
The company will pay very competitive salary (no salary cap) plus RSUs which could be very lucrative.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and implementing deep learning architectures that drive innovation and improve the performance of the company's advertising technology. Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in deep learning research in order to apply them to real-world applications.
- Leading efforts to enhance and scale the ML infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, efficiency, and scalability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize data pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring systems.
- Continuously optimizing machine learning models and algorithms to improve ad targeting, recommendation systems, and customer insights.
- Working closely with the team to integrate your solutions into the platform.
- Staying at the forefront of machine learning research and applying innovative techniques to solve complex challenges in the advertising technology space.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer (the more the better).
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at an AdTech company with prior experience with ads product development (e.g., DSP/ad-exchange/SSP).
- A Master s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Skill in ML infrastructure design, optimization, and scalability.
- Expertise in deep learning architectures and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Strong in Python and proficient with relevant ML libraries.
- Knowledge in distributed computing, cloud platforms, and big data technologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have:
- Open source contributions.
- Programming ability in C++.
- A track record of innovation.
