Rusty Surfboards is a leading manufacturer and wholesaler of surfboards and surfboard accessories in the US. We are currently looking for an entry level Customer Service Rep to work out of our offices based in San Diego, CA.
As the In-House Customer Service Rep, you will be responsible for detailed orders into our production system, scanning, entering and assisting the sales team with back end support. Daily Customer interactions in person, via email and phone. This is an entry level position in the company with potential for growth located in our San Diego offices.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES // include but are not limited to:
Deliver exceptional customer service to dealer base and consumers via direct contact, phone, live chat and emails. Communicating and maintaining a dialogue with customers regarding their order.
Daily support to the sales team.
Manage customer transactions including order entry, credit processing, building board cards.
Work with Accounting and Warehouse to ensure incoming orders are processed in a timely fashion.
Work with Production team to provide customers product availability and updates.
Coordinate Freight, Delivery or Pick up.
Customer service rep will occasionally be asked to help with outside marketing events, activities and other demos. ****
** Job Requirements**
A passion and knowledge of surfing and surfboards highly desired.
1-2 years of experience in customer service preferably in the action sports industry.
Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.
Must have problem solving skills and ability to think autonomously.
Must be able to multi task and perform in a fast paced environment.
Job may require some light lifting, packing, and climbing of ladders.
Ability to communicate well with customers and staff.
Must have knowledge of Surfing and the Surf Industry-Use of Cavewire, Shopify and Zendesk a plus.
