Job Summary

Provide administrative and programmatic support primarily to the Community Engagement Team and secondarily to the Corporate and Community Fundraising Team. Organized, detail-oriented team player with passion for providing excellent service for internal and external partners, connecting community members with Food Bank's mission to leverage the power of community to achieve lasting solutions to hunger and its root causes.

Community Engagement & Fundraising Assistant will support the Corporate and Community Engagement leadership team with a variety of administrative duties. This includes, but is not limited to, interacting daily with onsite volunteers, providing outstanding customer service, providing support in the volunteer and fundraising CRM and providing event assistance.

The incumbent must also be outgoing and?enjoy working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and demonstrate the ability to embrace the Food Bank's commitment to treat all people with equity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain clerical and administrative tasks in accordance with volunteer procedures such as set up the volunteer breakroom, sign in volunteers for the Volunteer Engagement Center (warehouse) and The Market (onsite pantry), prepare nametags for daily volunteers and ensure supplies are stocked.
  • Responsible for general administrative duties including creating and maintaining computer files, databases, spreadsheets and documents. As needed, update volunteer rosters and attendance and ensure that the website consistently has volunteer opportunities available.
  • With outstanding attention to detail, utilize the CRM program to support the Engagement Team and their ability to schedule individual and group volunteer activities.
  • Provide administrative support to steward corporate and community volunteer groups.
  • Provide event support for the Food Bank's signature event, internal volunteer events and third-party events where the Food Bank is the chosen beneficiary.
  • Accept food drive donations and follow the procedure to ensure the appropriate accounting and recognition process.
  • Assist with the preparation of specified Corporate and Community Engagement Team reports.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of office work experience with a focus on administrative tasks. A candidate that has experience reporting to more than one supervisor and working across multiple teams is preferred.
  • Excellent organization, written, verbal and telephone skills are required.
  • Great attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude and work environment; ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Experience working with fundraising or CRM database(s), project management software, electronic calendars, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint?preferred.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
  • Act 33 and 34 clearances.
