Summary:
A global company in the Marine industry is looking to hire a Tool Room Associate to join their warehouse team in Fort Lauderdale. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow long-term with an industry leading company and earn great pay.
Schedule: M-F 8am - 5pm
Duties:
* Fulfilling orders
* Pick, pack, and ship tool orders
* Interpret mechanical blueprints and manuals
* Perform minor repairs on tools and/or equipment parts prior to shipment
* Signing tools out in the system
* Returning tools when sent back from calibration, updating calibration management system and placing the tools to appropriate storage location
* Organizing and stocking the tool crib
* Operate a forklift
* Maintain cleanliness around the tool crib & warehouse

* Strong knowledge of tools
* Mechanically inclined
* Proficient using hand tools
* Ability to perform minor repairs
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints/manuals
* Forklift experience
* Basic computer skills (email, data entry)
Preferred:
* Stand-up forklift experience
* Proficient using micrometers and calipers
* Knowledge of BAR measurements
* Vocational/Trade School degree
