Shift: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm * must be flexible as shift could change based on business needs. Additionaly must work mandatory overtime as required

Job Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician role provides technical support to the ACS product facility (Kitting). The primary scope of this role is responsible for maintaining the facility and the gas-injection machine.

Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical and other physical structures. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies. Develops, maintains, and secures a spare parts inventory for the gas-injection machine and of basic maintenance hand and power tools. Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide expert service to manufacturing by troubleshooting and guiding solutions on escalated problems with the equipment.
  • Expertly suggest improvements to current-state equipment by way of improved technology or process simplification.
  • Lead projects small in-scope cross-functionally to ensure supply continuity
  • Review local manufacturing maintenance or equipment logs to guarantee sufficient parts inventory for manufacturing
  • Works with external partners (i.e., Engineering Service Providers, Equipment vendors, etc.) for supply and maintenance needs
  • Completes all work in a safe manner consistent with Owens & Minor-Halyard safety & quality protocols.
  • Repairs and maintains all material handling equipment and dock equipment (i.e., doors, levelers, seals, etc.).
  • Maintains batteries and chargers for forklifts (if applicable).
  • Maintains HVAC systems, humidification systems, lighting systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
  • Responsible for snow removal from sidewalks, steps, etc. if contract has not completed it.
  • Maintains parts inventory and reports it.
  • Receives/responds to daily calls regarding problems or repairs.
  • Assists in internal audit requirements.
  • Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifying Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • One or more years of related experience (facilities/equipment/mechanical maintenance, etc.).
  • Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Mechanic, Machinist certification highly preferred.
  • Or any combination of experience and education to meet the above requirements.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
