**SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION :**

Working with both the Merchandising & Allocation/Planning departments, the **Inventory Replenishment Analyst** is directly accountable for all replenishment related analysis functions. The position requires extensive analytical effort, system expertise and retail industry knowledge as well as the ability to interface well with all departments to support company initiatives.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INVENTORY REPLENISHMENT ANALYST:**

* Overall responsibility to support our purchasing, allocation and planning team by leveraging reporting and analytics to drive sales, including in stock service levels and overall inventory productivity

* Serves as the subject matter expert related to data content and reporting for the purchasing, allocation & planning team

* Maintains all reporting processes within the department in order to support the business initiatives

* Verify (A-deck) merchandise manager forecasts as needed for reasonableness

* Validate and reconcile chain forecasts to store level for all A-deck items**;** forecasts need to include analysis of seasonality as appropriate

* Monitor and report on forecast accuracy from SKU/store level by merchandise type, merchandise manager, etc. based on absolute or net variances as needed

* Review and recommend items for discontinuation that do not conform to company profit and strategy goals

* Publish seasonality reference by 4th level coordinate group (quarterly)

* Participate in weekly team meetings as required that include merchandising and allocation planning to highlight key performance indicator results and recommendations

* Complete all Buyers Toolbox non-core forecasting (update monthly or as needed)

* Report weekly days of supply, safety stock and SKU/store level forecast that do not meet required review process.

* Provide critical analytical support for planning measures (plan vs. actual/variance reporting) for merchandise managers using Buyers Toolbox

* Reporting for merchandise management, executive team, and finance on any significant updates to the plan that would affect meeting financial objectives

* Report and analyze Buyer and Deal Tree MKDs and suggest ways to reduce spend.

* Model new store inventory levels by coordinate group

* Manage and report on deck alignment process to ensure that merchandise deck reflects the importance to the company; in addition, validate the pre/post alignment impact on each merchandise managers assortment

* Track and report on DC hold inventory including establishment of DC Hold merchandise policies and compliance with these policies

* Publish high return rate reporting to merchandise managers/leadership to highlight possible quality or labeling issues and support merchandise manager discussion with vendors

* Prepares ad hoq analysis and support special projects on an as needed basis

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**

* Bachelors Degree required in Business, IT, or related field

* 3-5+ years of experience required in retail planning or allocation and/or in a Retail Business Analyst role

* A strong understanding of retail principals and retail math calculations

* Strong computer skills, including advanced to expert Excel skills, strong quantitative analysis skills and history of working with large data sets

* Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills in addition to keen presentation skills

* Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment individually and as a member of a team

* Ability to manage multiple projects and work on several different tasks simultaneously, setting priorities while ensuring completion of tasks under minimal supervision

* Ability to communicate across cross-functional groups and multiple departments within the organization

* Experience working with Micro Strategies and SQL

**ACCOUNTABILITY :**

* Directly accountable to the Senior Director of Allocation and indirectly to the BI Manager
