We are seeking committed and passionate Recreation Specialists to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our After School Programs. As a Recreation Specialist you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an afterschool setting. Requirements
+ No experience required
+ Ability to reliably commute to Concord, Bay Point and/or Martinez
+ Commitment to social justice and leadership
+ Passionate about learning and youth development
+ Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Preferred: Commitment to a full school year, able to practice open, clear and consistent communication, commitment to participate in professional development.
Responsibilities:
+ Support and maintain emotional and safe environment
+ Executing lesson plans that support school day learning
+ Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth driven curriculum)
+ Ability to model BACR Best Practices
