Maintenance Technician


Job Details

The Maintenance Technician s responsibilities include performing regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, fixing electrical and mechanical failures, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, emergency repairs, and installation of new equipment.

  • Complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
  • Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
  • Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
  • Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
  • Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
  • Read and comply with work orders concerning PMs, modification, or installation of machinery.
  • Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.

Education/Certification: High school diploma and/or certification are desirable


Experience/Knowledge Required:

  • +5 years of industrial maintenance required if no education or certification
  • +3 years of industrial maintenance required if education or certification
  • Use hand tools and specialized tools (welding, precision, manual and semi-automated machines)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals Advanced
  • Mechanical knowledge: motors, bearings, rollers, sprockets Intermediate
  • Pneumatics knowledge Intermediate
  • Electrical Systems knowledge Advanced
  • Computerized systems, CMMS Knowledge Intermediate

Skill and Ability:

  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team atmosphere
  • Demonstrated ability to closely adhere to all instructions, WOs, SOP's, policies and procedures required
  • Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended amount of time
  • Ability to act competently in emergencies
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
