The Installation Technician is responsible for installing and assisting in all phases of installation, testing and troubleshooting of security, access control and video systems at our customer sites. To that end, the Installation Technician interacts directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation.

The Installation Technician will assist in all phases of installing, testing, and troubleshooting CCTV and Access Control Systems in Washington metropolitan area office buildings.



Responsibilities:
  • Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems.
  • Ensures that systems are installed properly and on time in accordance with Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
  • Provides feedback and information to identify any potential barriers to timely execution of the project, such as construction delays or changes.
  • Provides accurate documentation for completed work.
  • Maintains assigned company-owned vehicles, tools, equipment, and individual tool issue.
  • Maintains and protects building keys to customer buildings.
  • Communicates with customers, customer representatives, contractors and Kastle staff as necessary to install and test equipment.
  • Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology as well as internal processes and procedures.


Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, also carry tools and equipment not to exceed seventy-five pounds.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must be able to interface and communicate with customers and co?workers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to follow the installation, testing, and troubleshooting procedures outlined by Kastle Systems LLC.
  • Willingness to accept responsibility and carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Work history must display stability and good attendance.
  • Desire and ability to work well with others while being self-motivated.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weeknights, and/or weekends when necessary.
  • Neat, professional appearance.
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid drivers license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet state licensing requirements for security.


Other Eligibility Requirements:

Preferred but not required

  • Experience installing Cat5, Coax BNC, and Molex connectors.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and networking
  • Knowledge of analog and IP camera systems
  • Basic knowledge of AC and DC theory.
