**Retail Sales Associate**

The Retail Sales Associate plays an important role in supporting the entire sales operation by providing staff coverage for the store, managing the parts counter, merchandising the showroom with attractive displays, managing all sales support materials and maintaining a clean and orderly showroom. The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for helping customers with their needs for chemicals, filters, parts and similar items. This position assists customers looking for spas, fitness equipment, barbeque grills, billiard tables
and other high-ticket items. This position inventories and manages all parts and chemicals as well as all sales support materials such as brochures and product samples. The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for merchandising the showroom, under the direction of the General Manager, by creating attractive new displays on a regular basis. The Retail Sales Associate is also responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and well lighted showroom.
This position will serve as a training ground for gaining essential product knowledge and technical expertise needed by a Sales Representative.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Watch the showroom floor for customers in need of assistance. Provide assistance as needed on chemicals, filters, parts and similar items.
- Assist in answering the telephone and directing calls.
- Provide assistance to customers purchasing parts and supplies as necessary.
- Assist customers looking for spas, fitness equipment, barbeque grills, billiard tables and other high ticket items.
- Develop ideas for Retail Sales merchandising. Present ideas to the General Manager for approval. Implement approved merchandising ideas on a regular basis in all areas of the showroom.
- Maintain the showroom in a neat, clean and orderly condition. Make sure lights are on and replaced when necessary. Make sure spot lights are aimed appropriately.
- Regularly check all operating spas, saunas, grills, and all fitness equipment to make sure everything is in proper working order. Regularly balance water in operating spas in showroom.
- Regularly check to make sure that all showroom inventory has correct prices and part numbers. Make sure all shelves are stocked fully and look orderly.
- Provide assistance in maintaining accurate inventory counts as requested
- Organize and manage all product brochures and other sales support materials. Manage brochure inventory levels and notify Director of Sales when reorder levels are reached.
- Handle receiving (transfers), stocking, labeling and pricing in the Vail Store stock site.
- Assist Warehouse Manager if necessary with staging of deliveries.
- Deliver stock and special orders to satellite stores if needed.
- Deliver orders to commercial accounts as needed, generally one run in the morning and one run in the afternoon.
- Assist with other deliveries as needed.
- Manage the inventory counts in the Vail Store as needed.
Education and Experience
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience with pool and spa products preferred

Physical Demands
