Job Title: Commercial Drywall Estimator

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated Commercial Drywall Estimator with extensive experience in estimating and bidding on commercial drywall, acoustical ceilings, acoustical wall panels, and aluminum composite panels. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our pre-construction process, providing accurate and competitive estimates to support our business development efforts. This is an onsite position, requiring occasional travel to project sites in NC, SC, and TN. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of construction costs and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other bid documents to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial drywall, acoustical ceilings, acoustical wall panels, and aluminum composite panels.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys to determine project scope and requirements.
- Solicit and review subcontractor bids and quotations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop value engineering solutions and cost-saving alternatives.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to clients within established deadlines.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of bid documents, correspondence, and project data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Commercial Drywall Estimator in the commercial construction industry.
- Proven track record of success in estimating and bidding on commercial drywall, acoustical ceilings, acoustical wall panels, and aluminum composite panels.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
