Love, Bonito is a digital-first company on a mission to empower the everyday Asian woman and inspire self-confidence. We are the leading direct-to-consumer womenswear brand, headquartered in Singapore, with an omni-channel presence across Indonesia and Malaysia, a retail franchise in Cambodia, and are fast expanding into international markets namely Japan, Hong Kong SAR China and United States of America.
Founded in 2010, we are proudly female-founded with more than 70% female representation across our organization, leadership and STEM roles (#girlpower!). We raised a US$50M Series C round in 2021 and know that we're on the cusp of something great, where we're working towards becoming the most thoughtful brand globally, for the Asian female consumer, especially when it comes to our products, community and experiences.

The role
Located in the heart of Manhattan's shopping scene in SoHo, you will play an important role in the building of our retail business unit and representing our brand to the masses. You will champion the expansion of Love, Bonito into a brand new market! Reporting to the Store Lead, you will be integral to the success of Love, Bonito especially as we go into hyper growth over the next few years!
Your main role is to be an ambassador of Love, Bonito brand educating our guests, and maintaining the best customer experience on the sales floor. Through our guest interactions, we aim to empower women to gain confidence through styling and clothing. At Love, Bonito, we put the LB woman at the heart of everything we do.
The location
Our very first store in the United States is located in SoHo, at 465 Broadway New York, New York 10013. Not only is the location convenient and in one of Manhattan's most prominent shopping districts, but it is also very safe. We strive to make sure all of our employees feel comfortable and safe both at work and on their commute. Come check us out!
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day retail operations & work with the store manager to promote sales
- Cashier duties include processing payments, exchanges and returns
- Provide a seamless shopping experience for customers
- Prepare and upkeep a clean shopping environment in the store
- Communicate to customers about on-going promotions & offers
- Be a customer experience champion, providing guests with fashionable advise suited to their needs
- Be a team player, supporting the company culture and aligning with Love, Bonito company values
- Performing store opening and closing procedures when required
Requirements
- A people-person! You are not afraid of approaching strangers and holding a conversation, and guests aren't afraid to approach you either!
- Ability to relate to our mission of empowering women through style
- An awesome team player with a touch of fun, support and respect in your interactions with other staff members
- Meet and exceed sales goals through a customer centric approach
- Provide product and brand knowledge of Love, Bonito to customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain organisation
- Ability to support back-of-house operations, such as receiving shipment, back stocking merchandise, supporting sales floor VM refreshes
Shift Requirements
- 40 hours per week
- 5 days rostered work week
- Open to both opening and closing shifts
