Production Operator - Newport, DEJob OverviewIn this role your primary responsibility is to follow and complete job assignments assigned by Supervisor, Process Control or Lead. Always working with three things in mind: safety, quality and cost. You will be operating Milling or Finishing machines. Shift: 12 hour rotating (must be available to work day and night shifts)Job Duties:* Demonstrated ability to understand and work with analytical and mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting such equipment. * Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are required. * Ability to work independently at times using Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions. * Requires the ability to work rotating schedules with the ability to lift material of 60 lbs* Labor intensive job involving the use of PPE, being in an industrial environmentJob RequirementsRequirements:* High School diploma or GED required* Experience with machine operating. * Ability to comprehend detailed verbal and written instruction and work with minimal supervision.* Standing and walking for extended periods as well as the ability to climb stairs* Routinely carrying up to 60lbs * Willing to work in extreme temperatures and dusty/dirty environment.* Must be able to do simple math and operate a computer* Experience working with batching and chemical is a PLUS* Drug screen and background check are mandatory if you are offered this position
