Job Details
This Position is responsible for acquiring all necessary samples for testing; performing analytical requirements in the Quality Assurance laboratory and supporting operations personnel in maintaining calibration and effective performance of manufacturing equipment to insure that all products meet quality specifications. This position will be scheduled for a 12 hour night shift.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the information below.

- Understanding and supporting the JMS Decatur Safety Program policies and performing work-related activities in a save manner
- Analyzing raw ingredients and finished products
- Inspecting and performing testing on incoming ingredients and packaging supplies to assure compliance to specifications
- Performing laboratory analysis as scheduled during manufacturing of products to assure compliance to specifications
- Calibrating and standardizing Quality Assurance equipment both in the lab and in-process equipment
- Performing data-entry and computer file maintenance on laboratory analysis
- Cleaning equipment
- Must have basic computer skills
Performing other duties as assigned
- Must be capable of comprehending and applying principles of basic food science
- Must have basic math skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Must have communication skills for interaction with all production departments at all levels
