IT Apple Support Specialist


Job Details

As a IT Apple Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to employees within our organization who use Apple devices. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, configure devices, manage system updates, and ensure seamless operation of Apple products across the business environment. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our business operations through reliable Apple device management and support.


Essential functions:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to employees experiencing issues with Apple devices such as MacBooks, iPads, and other related devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on Apple devices, including but not limited to connectivity issues, software glitches, and system errors.
  • Set up and configure new Apple devices for employees, ensuring they are properly integrated into the business network and meet security standards.
  • Install, update, and maintain software applications on Apple devices, including operating system upgrades, security patches, and other software updates.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions for Apple devices to ensure data integrity and facilitate recovery in the event of data loss or device failure.
  • Maintain accurate records of support activities, including issues encountered, solutions provided, and device configurations.
  • Generate reports as needed to track support metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols and policies on Apple devices to protect sensitive information and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on the proper use of Apple devices, best practices for device maintenance, and adherence to security policies.
  • Work closely with other members of the business to ensure seamless integration of Apple devices with existing systems and technologies.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in information technology, alerting leadership of the effects widespread software and hardware revisions, changes, and discontinuation will have on the organization s systems and operations.
  • Coordinate and schedule large-scale software and hardware installations.
  • Ensure IT-related projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required education and experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • At least 5 years of related IT support experience with at least one year in a supervisory role preferred

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office 365, 8x8 phone system
  • Thorough understanding of technology, software, and hardware.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn the software and applications used in the organization and the industry.
