Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Designer to work in the New Albany, OH area for a top utility and energy company. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Primary Function: Computer aided drafting to prepare maps, sketches, schematics and other engineering related drawings.

Responsibilities:

Create, revise and maintain detailed engineering and record drawings, maps and sketches.
Create, revise and maintain material and property equipment records.
Obtain information required to perform work from verbal communication, sketches, marked drawings, listings, field notes, vendors' catalogs and technical reference manuals.
Perform mathematical calculations required to accomplish assigned work.
Operate reproduction machines, plotters and other duplicating equipment.
Work with other organizations of the Company to resolve discrepancies and assure that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Read vendors' prints, shop and other drawings and equipment operating instructions, and incorporate that information into the work being performed.
Prepare and/or revise Plan and Profile drawings.
Prepare right-of-way and condemnations drawings and access road map books,
Produce detail drawings and specialty maps such as 3D assembly drawings, ROW clearing maps, etc.
Create Project Maps in both CADD and GIS environments.
Provide CAD software support to department.
Working knowledge of survey data formats and digital elevation models.
Assume other duties and responsibailities as assigned.

Requirements:

Associate degree in Applied Science (AAS) drafting and computer aided design (CAD) or in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology.
Must be familiar with computer graphics and automated drawing methods.
Ability to distinguish colors.
Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
