Job Details
Position Purpose:
The Digital Color Press Operator is responsible for coordinating, prioritizing, finishing, and delivering diverse print jobs in conformance with customer specifications. The position operates all related Production equipment including Bindery, Pre-Press and Press.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up job in accordance with job ticket and product specification documents. This includes pre-flighting files, making color adjustments, staging, and queuing.
- Completes job start-up, quality sign-off, including specification and visual checks.
- Operates digital press to produce products in conformance with customer specifications while minimizing waste and maintaining press efficiency.
- Requisitions all supplies required to operate the digital press.
Maintenance:
- Maintains and troubleshoots the press and related equipment.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance program; contracting with local Xerox Service professionals as needed.
Safety:
- Follows all safety guidelines for proper material handling, machine, and tooling use.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Reports any safety risks to supervisor.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Every team member is expected to treat all associates respectfully and professionally.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
