****Job Summary****
The Assembler assembles machines, equipment, and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. May also finalize equipment as they roll off the assembly lines according to blueprints and assembly manuals by performing the following duties.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.
2. Follow digital instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies for attachment to equipment per Vermeer's quality standards.
3. Inspect painted parts to ensure quality.
4. Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals.
5. Align components and bolts and then fasten them together according to torque specifications. Install moving test to ensure parts move as intended.
7. Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the departments performance board metrics.
**Education and/or Experience**
- One to three months production experience and/or training preferred. Successful completion of Vermeer Assembly Training Program.
