Come build, innovate, disrupt, and thrive!K?STA I.T is actively seeking a Social Media Specialist foran immediate contract engagement with our government client.Work Location: This position is remote.Job Description:In response to the increasing significance of social media in the client's outreach, public relations, marketing, and news dissemination endeavors, agency leadership has allocated funds to enlist support in managing and enhancing the agency's social media presence.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the communications team to devise and expand the agency's social media strategy and audience reach.Generate and publish original content across the agency's social media channels.Develop a comprehensive social media calendar.Monitor and address public feedback received through comments and direct messages.Track and analyze engagement metrics to inform future strategy adjustments.Maintain detailed records of services rendered and correspondences for billing purposes.Manage social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and occasional involvement with LinkedIn.Hours will be flexible but anticipated to average around 15-20 hours per week.Adherence to data standards, policies, procedures, and information security/information assurance protocols.Perform any other duties as assigned.Required Skills:Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.Three or more years of experience overseeing social media accounts for either companies or governmental agencies, encompassing: devising social media strategies, crafting campaigns, generating and sharing compelling content, maintaining a social media schedule, engaging with public comments and messages when necessary, utilizing analytics tools to evaluate campaign efficacy and monitor account metrics.Proficiency in design and basic video editing using software like Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, AdobeExpress, Premiere, etc.Familiarity with accessibility standards and alt text implementation to ensure content compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.Experience adhering to a company or agency style guide to ensure content aligns with the agency's brand.Experience collaborating with personnel from various departments or sections within an organization to curate content.Available Benefits: Medical Benefits (Platinum level plans available) Work from home / Hybrid / Onsite options PTO Holiday Pay VTO 401K Charitable Match Training reimbursementAbout K?STA I.T.:Our name says it all; K?STA I.T.
