This is a unique position in the firm that will incorporate design, analytics and consulting to guide our clients in making informed decisions. We seek someone who has the ability to listen to a client's challenges or goals and help them visualize a solution through data. We seek someone who is articulate, can ask the right questions and can relay information in a variety of ways that is best suited for a variety of clients. It is ideal that candidates have strong graphic capabilities and can transform complex information into a visually appealing presentation.The Data Visualization Specialist will be part of NBBJ's Consulting studio, a firmwide studio that is built with thought leaders and experts from across the firm, brought together as an interdisciplinary team. This opportunity is available in any of our NBBJ offices including: Boston, Columbus, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, San Francisco or Seattle.In your new role, you will:* Lead the design and development of key interactive tools to empower planning and scenario development.* Define project goals with consultants, analysts, medical planners, architects, clinicians, planners and team leadership and advise on available technology to achieve success.* Perform complex analytical and visualization projects using a wide variety of technology platforms including many different technology platforms* Design complex technical workflows and manage work performed by teammates and subconsultants.* Estimate hours required for scope items, successfully manage time to completion.* Provide presentation materials, demos, and present complex topics to c-suites and clients.* Regularly share knowledge and mentors Jr teammates.What you will need to succeed:* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data visualization* 5 years of professional experience in the architecture, engineering or construction industry* Experience as a consultant is a plus* Proficiency with PowerBI, Tableau, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite is required* R, Wix/Javascript, Rhino, Grasshopper experience preferredFor candidates located in California, New York, and Washington, the annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $80,000 - $130,000.
