SUMMARY

The Digital Merchandiser supports maximizing the exposure and performance of the online portfolio by ensuring execution of digital content for assigned customers. This includes setting up new products for ecommerce launches, loading all product page content (above the fold, below the fold, product images, videos, descriptions, titles, technical specs, creating comparison charts, search and keyword optimization, navigation/category assignment, managing Vine and seeding campaigns, and more). This role is also responsible for helping to develop the online merchandising strategy and analyzing and reporting on our digital shelf execution versus the competition by leveraging a variety of tools, including but not limited to retailer data, Profitero, and Salsify.

This role is challenging and fun. Above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, this is an important role on a fast-paced, high-growth team in a world-class organization. Some responsibilities will be consistent week to week but your day to day may vary.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support Amazon account by managing the digital shelf to drive conversion for our brands

Maintain and optimize (3) Amazon US brand stores according to brand and merchandising best practices and selling strategy with focused efforts on hero items based on promotional events, new launches, in stock levels, etc., coordinate home page, category pages, and feature item changes, ensure all featured products are always in stock

Set up, manage (add, update, remove), and optimize the full catalog of products launched on Amazon.com including variation pages, virtual bundles, comparison charts, other conversion-driving tools; adhere to launch timelines, marketing calendars and requirements; validate changes, monitor MAP violations; execute price changes and promotions per plan

Ensure that ecommerce product content is kept up-to-date, complete, and consistent so that all products are fully merchandised and assigned to the appropriate categories

Execute digital shelf test-and-learns

Define, coordinate, and execute the digital merchandising strategy; bring recommended actions to the table when a product is underperforming and execute the agreed-upon action plan

Troubleshoot issues such as content errors, item suppression, data inaccuracies, broken variation pages, etc; open tickets/manage ticket burndown; learn to identify when to escalate an issue; follow up on open tickets daily until they are resolved

Spend time on Amazon to browse and search daily, develop a deep understanding of the consumer s shopping experience with our products and continually seek ways to improve it; routinely scan the competitive landscape for best-in-class site merchandising and bring recommendations to the team

In PIM (Salsify), maintain account product lists, channel accuracy and completeness

Utilize Profitero, Vendor Central, brand store analytics and other reporting tools to monitor POS sales and react to product and account performance in search, content scorecard, and other important ecommerce KPIs; make data-driven decisions about product placement and presentation to drive conversion and AOV

Responsible for account/customer communications and regular touch base with team; provide weekly updates on launches, delays, issues, and wins; share information about changes to Amazon s requirements or capabilities

Ad hoc support for other brand stores or accounts, as needed

This role reports to the Director of Web & Ecommerce

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

2-3 years experience in ecommerce; digital or site merchandising and/or product catalog management; experience with Amazon highly preferred

Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brand preferred

Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central and willingness to become a subject-matter expert, learn new capabilities and share opportunities

Working knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, ecommerce and websites / how products are loaded

Balanced analytical/conceptual skills; demonstrated ability to use analytics and benchmarks to understand and optimize for organic search, product content, and merchandising

EDUCATION & SKILLS

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a business-related discipline (Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, eCommerce or related field)

Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) to educate and report across all key metrics

Strong time management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills

Proven project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills

Comfortable working in a variety of digital/eCommerce platforms (e.g., Amazon Vendor Central, Profitero, Salsify); willingness to learn and stay sharp

Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to think outside of the box

Other skills needed: creativity, organization, attention to detail, and a self-starter

Customer-focused role requires a high degree of autonomy in a constantly changing environment; equally important is the ability to work together as part of a team
