The Role We Want You For:
Under general direction, the Print Production Manager will perform a variety of technical and support services involving printing and production operations, maintain production schedules, and perform related duties as assigned.
The Specifics of the Role:
- Operates printing production equipment as needed
- Coordinates, schedules, facilitates, and monitors printing and production services.
- Organizes and implements a production work schedule for processing requests
- Maintains database and job log for assigned projects.
- Provides direction and support during interruptions to accommodate emergency requests
- Maintains production schedule to ensure the timely delivery of print jobs.
- Inspects and verifies that completed projects meet quality standards.
- Maintains inventory of paper, bindery supplies, toner, and other consumables
- Orders supplies and verifies accuracy of billing.
- Obtains quotes for any outside print work as needed.
- Provides consultation and assistance to clients regarding the printing production process.
- Receives, sorts, ships and retrieves jobsite documents to storage and maintains Project Index log of inventory.
- Acts as a technical resource in advisory capacity
- Performs other related duties commensurate with the requirements of the printing and production department
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
- Customer service experience
- Ability to follow machine safety instructions.
- Basic knowledge of computer software programs and skills
- Effectively communicate in both oral and written forms with individuals from various backgrounds
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
