This is an exciting opportunity for a rapidly growing venture backed start-up with an ambitious growth plan that will be driven by organic growth and acquisitions. We are looking for a Coffee Service Technician, who is ready to bring their experience and values to the Espresso Repair and Preventative Maintenance team. They will be responsible for performing field service calls, installations and preventive maintenance on commercial beverage equipment.
Location:
- This is mostly a traveling position, the majority of the accounts are in San Diego proper.
What You ll Do:
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions utilizing standard electrical test equipment such as volt/ohm meters to identify and implement corrective action
- Occasionally travel outside of the normal work area for service projects
- Work with the following machines: Bunn brewers and grinders, Curtis brewers, La Marzocco espresso machines, and Mazzer grinders

Experience You Bring:
- Three years minimum experience working in the specialty coffee industry
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Vocational training in electrical/mechanical areas of equivalent experience desired
- Previous experience and demonstrated ability in reading schematic diagrams and using appropriate test equipment to troubleshoot commercial beverage equipment
- Previous experience installing plumbing and associated hardware for beverage equipment
- Customer service experience - strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to travel
- Possess a valid driver s license
- Certifications that are helpful but not required: Espresso Equipment Certification, CFESA Certification, Bunn Certification
- Basic electrical and plumbing skills are a plus
Full Time Hourly Rate: $22-$25/hour, DOE
