Job Summary
The Quality Inspector will work as a partner and resource with the Armor Operations Groups in assuring the quality of the goods provided to Safariland Customers.

Essential Job Functions
Perform routine audits and inspections of in-process WIP and of finished products for acceptance.
Verify the acceptance / suitability of incoming raw material, or products or product sub-assembles / components.
Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), if directed to train to do so.
Perform or assist in conducting Nonconformance (NC) Investigations as directed.
Develop and store records required for documenting day-to-day and non-routine activities.
Other activities in support of the Quality Management System (QMS) as directed.

Supervisory & Operational Authority
Work independently in the field to make acceptance decisions during routine inspections and audits.
Direct Operational Groups to the proper resources where additional guidance is required in making acceptance decisions.

Required Experience
None.

Preferred Experience
1 - 2 YRS working in a Manufacturing QA Group.

Required Education
High School Diploma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Work independently or as a part of a dynamic Team.
Take direction in a high tempo operational environment where priorities may suddenly change.
Use Basic Math (Addition, Subtraction, multiplication of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, etc.)
Use Measuring Devices including, but not limited to: Rulers, Tape Measures, Weighing Scales, Digital Micrometers / calipers.
Use the MS Suite of Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe PDF related products, and the Safariland Enterprise System (ERP) for data entry and information storage.
Read and comprehend operational process procedures.
Communicate with all levels of the organization both verbally and with the written word.
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting to 40 pounds, use of manual and powered tools and equipment.

Work Environment
Manufacturing working environment / inside / climate controlled.
