Overview:

The HR Generalist reports to the Sr. Director Human Resources and partners closely with the Corporate HRBP team to provide comprehensive HR support to Corporate and some Plant-based leaders and employees throughout the employee life cycle. This role may also advise and counsel managers and will drive and execute HR initiatives and programs.



Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HRBPs and COE HR Teams (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards, HR Technology & Analytics) to execute HR processes and programs including recruiting and onboarding, culture building and engagement, training & development, performance management and employee relations.
  • In collaboration with Talent Acquisition and the HRBP Team, lead the Corporate Internship Program strategy and execution to provide a best-in-class experience for interns and to support a critical talent pipeline for T. Marzetti. Drive innovation and continuous improvement to provide a competitive program that meets the needs of the business.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in a variety of Employee Engagement Programs such as new hire Onboarding (First Year Experience), Recognition Program, Leader Training, etc.
  • Support culture and talent building initiatives and activities such as employee listening surveys and action planning, new leader assimilations, DEI initiatives, special events, team building activities, functional talent reviews, and development/training sessions or programs.
  • May provide HR support to select client groups or larger departments within a function. Counsel and advise managers or leaders on HR related matters such as performance management, policy interpretation, communication plans, and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate or participate in investigations and make recommendations as needed.
  • Conduct new hire check-ins and exit interviews, maintain function org charts, and support compliance activities such as HR audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • PHR or other HR certifications a plus.
  • 3-5 years of previous HR experience, including exposure to a variety of HR disciplines (i.e. recruiting, compensation & benefits, training & development, compliance, etc.).
  • Previous experience successfully leading or co-leading projects or programs/initiatives.
  • Knowledge of change management principles.
  • Strong initiative, organization, attention to detail and follow up.
  • Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbal in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Knowledge of Employment laws and regulations.
  • Solid technical skills especially with Microsoft Office and HR Systems (talent acquisition, payroll, reporting, etc.)

Working Conditions/Environment:

Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet.
