**Job Summary**

Working leader of a team in support of all warehouse processes and supporting manufacturing processes. Supports and trains team members in all essential functions and skill sets as required to effectively operate and continually improve their processes. Responsible for the workflow in assigned areas of operation. Leads the team in safe and effective execution of production plans using a structured lean work and management system. This includes leading effective response to abnormal conditions, participating in problem solving activities to obtain sustainable standards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in their area.

Shift: Night Shift Monday Thursday 7:00pm-5:30am with overtime on Fridays and Saturdays (8 hour shifts)

Pay: $17.00 per hour

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

* Model the Spectrum Brands Values and Behaviors to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility.

* Direct and coordinate the activities of warehouse employees.

* Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and/or warehouse schedule to meet goals.

* Observe work and monitor indicators to ensure that operators conform to warehouse packing, loading and stocking standards.

* Examine incoming and outgoing products to verify accuracy and quality.

* Work directly with the shipping clerks to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and shipping deadlines are met.

* Ensure Stock Transfer Orders from plant to plant are loaded and unloaded to meet planning requirements.

* Conduct employee training in equipment operations, work processes and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.

* Requisition materials, supplies, etc. when necessary.

* Manage employee relations issues or escalate as necessary.

* Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality or efficiency.

* Recommend or assist in the execution of personnel actions such as hiring, evaluations or promotions.

* Effectively allocate production resources to ensure daily customer demands are met.

* Effectively audit areas to ensure adherence to plant standards and lead corrective action initiatives.

* Serve as the first point of contact for operational opportunities. Implement immediate countermeasures and/or escalate when necessary.

* Maintain daily record keeping and verification.

* Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives.

* Lead daily shift start up meetings and provide daily accurate pass downs to oncoming shift.

* Lead by example and demonstrate respect to others with a positive and supportive attitude.

* Identify hourly employees strengths and weaknesses and provide real time feedback.

* Assist in interviewing and recruiting external and internal candidates.

* Assist in warehouse duties as needed including but not limited to: daily housekeeping, proper chemical storage, ensure FDA controlled areas are well maintained.

* Assist in inventory counts.

* Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

* Abide by all Company policies and procedures

**Education and Experience Profile**

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Associates and/or two years manufacturing preferred

* 1-year experience required preferably in a lead or supervisory role

* Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse

**Required Skills**

* Able to operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to reach truck, forklift, pallet jack, scan gun, etc.

* Ability to work independently

* Ability to lead a group of people

* Previous SAP experience preferred.

* Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

**Work Environment**

Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance. Must be available to work across multiple shifts. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must wear all prescribed PPE including, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety glasses, respirator and steel toed shoes. Otherwise, working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
