ABOUT THE POSITION:The Sustainable Packaging Solutions Intern will be part of a team of packaging engineers responsible for design, development, and testing of innovative sustainable packaging solutions. Pregis engineers use a material neutral approach and consultative strategy to develop packaging solutions for the most demanding shipping environments. This team member will be exposed to a variety of products and materials during the internship, in which they will support the design and testing processes. JOB FUNCTIONS:Packaging design and development to meet our client s needs and applicationsPerform distribution testing in our ISTA certified testing labCreate packaging analysis reports as a deliverable to the clientProduce samples and prototypes as part of the proposed solution to the clientUtilize SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, and CAD cutting table for package prototypingPersonal management of multiple projects with critical timelinesCollaborate with sales and clients to seek the most optimal packaging solution JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education & Skills:Currently enrolled in a Packaging program at a recognized universityJunior or Senior status with the university3.0 or higher GPA (on a 4.0 scale)Very strong written and oral communication skillsComfortable with presentations and public speakingExposure to and basic proficiency in software packages, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.), AutoCAD and/or Solid Works, Cape/Tops Diversity and InclusionWe believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
