We are hiring an IT Support Technician to support our corporate Information Technology department which works in partnership with our portfolio companies.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP of IT, the IT Support Technician will provide end user support and deploy hardware/software. This position is onsite and located within the satellite office in Reno, NV. This individual will work with various teams and divisions across the US & Canada to support end users and IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure computer software, hardware, network, and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Speaking to users to quickly get to the root of their problem,
  • Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
  • Create accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
  • Microsoft 365 / Office
  • Domain users
  • Nextiva Phone
  • Hyper-V
  • Provide steps to help internal and external users resolve technical problems.
  • Three Remote warehouses
  • Remote Users
  • Different divisions
  • Provide training for end users on new technology and software.
  • Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding of users.
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • Test and evaluate new technologies.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Maintain and validate data/system backups.

Desired Professional Skills and Experience:

  • Experience troubleshooting end user issues.
  • Be knowledgeable in setup for enterprise hardware/software.
  • Experience with at least

    one of the below

Microsoft Office/365

Microsoft Server

VOIP phones

Network maintenance

  • Experience with the following technologies is preferred but not required:

Dynamics 365 Business Central

Active directory

Entra (Azure Active Directory)

Hyper-V

  • Strong complex problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage time effectively.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Information Systems or Equivalent Certifications.
  • Three years of experience in IT or related projects.
