Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Architecture with a focus on the hospitality sector, particularly in ground-up development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading architectural teams in the design and execution of innovative and successful hospitality projects. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and technical expertise to drive the architectural vision and ensure excellence in design and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural department in developing and implementing design strategies and initiatives for hospitality projects, with a focus on ground-up development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business development, interior design, project management, and operations teams, to define project goals, objectives , and requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance to architectural teams throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design through construction administration.
• Oversee the preparation and review of architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration within the architectural department, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to facilitate successful project delivery and ensure client satisfaction.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in hospitality design and architecture.
• Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, proposal development, and networking events, to generate new opportunities and expand the company's portfolio.
• Assist in the development and implementation of departmental strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of work.

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 1 2 years of professional experience in architecture, with a focus on the hospitality sector and ground-up development
• Licensed Architect required
• Proven track record of successfully leading architectural teams and delivering high-quality hospitality projects on time and within budget
• Strong design sensibility and ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling and innovative design solutions
• Ability to obtain NCARB Certification
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence
• Thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques relevant to hospitality projects
• Understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software
• Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute architectural strategies aligned with business objectives
• Demonstrated business acumen and experience in business development and client management
