Job title:- Technical Writer
Duration:- McLean, VA/Richmond, VA (Hybrid)
Location:- 05 Months (Possible of extension)
Pay rate:- $35/hr on W2 & $40/hr on C2C
Risk background, curriculum, content creation experience
Building out a Risk resiliency curriculum
Meeting with SME, partners, to ensure team has data
Documentation
Financial banking background is required
Must have familiarity with version control softwares like GitHub.
Some form of exp with static site generators like docusaurus, etc.
Basic tech writing skills, able to take massive information and develop them into documentation or/and curriculum.
Creating repositories.
Job Description:
Bachelors degree or military experience
At least 3 years experience writing documentation for both technical and non-technical
audiences. Writing samples will be requested
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and able to prioritize tasks
Able to learn quickly and work well independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with GitHub or other version control and workflow management
software
3+ years of technical writing experience
Familiarity with risk management practices
Familiarity with curriculum development
Comfortable working in an Agile environment
Responsibilities
Write highly technical documentation for a range of audiences
Deliver content that is technically accurate and provides clarity for even the most
complex processes
Partner across organizational lines to create great content
Navigate multiple projects with competing priorities to drive successful and timely
completion leading projects from start to finish
Self-edit content to ensure document quality
Organize and articulate information to provide an excellent user experience appropriate
for all intended audiences
Maintain familiarity with new and modern ways of constructing and delivering content
Contribute process improvements for added efficiency
