OBJECTIVE:
MDCPS seeks an experienced professional with a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment to meet customer needs. Demonstrates expertise in delivering functional and technical solutions on moderately complex configurations. Effectively consults with management. Participate in business development activities. Develop detailed solutions for involved projects.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is full-time (40 hours weekly) and requires an individual to consult and design a centralized banking module for the Pathways Project. This resource will be assisting with design, functionality, and integration with the Mississippi Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration (MAGIC), the state's financial system. In addition, the resource will advise the CIO and the agency executive staff on other projects related items when required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Advise on Centralized banking concepts and processes.
  • Assist with Design and system functionality.
  • Ensure system designs align with MAGIC requirements.
  • Ensure Financial Best Practice Standards are present in the design.
  • Assist with system financial reporting requirements and design.
  • Document preparation.
  • Plan, Organize, and Lead Meetings when required; and
  • Other IT-related tasks as agreed upon by the parties.

Required Skills/Experience:

To be considered, all proposed consultants must meet the following mandatory requirements:

- Eight (8) years of financial experience
- Five (5) years of MAGIC experience
- Four (4) years of managing financial systems process and functionality
- Excellent English-speaking skills, written communication skills, and knowledge transfer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Child Welfare processes and workflows
Ability to communicate effectively
