MACHINE/WELDING TECHNICIAN
in
TUCSON AZ
.
Responsibilities:
As a Machine/Welding Technician,
you will be required to:
Perform Tig and/or orbital welding on aircraft detail parts per engineering specifications.
Skitch, weld, modify and/or assemble metal jigs, fixtures, hand tools and/or safety equipment in accordance with engineering specifications.
Job Requirements:
Typically, 4 years diversified machine shop experience.
Certifications for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and orbital welding.
Previous machining experience with both conventional and computerized machines.
Plan machining procedures and set-up machine and part(s).
Maintain existing system of programs, documents, shop aid tools, blueprints for applicable machines and equipment.
Order tools as required for machinery.
Skill to operate and interpret a variety of precision measurement instruments, for example micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
Sill to use simple or compound sine tools.
Skill to set-up and operate various shop machines, for example, welders, power hand tools and grinders.
2 years (minimum) TIG and MIG welding experience or equivalent vocational training in welding with certificate.
Certifications for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and orbital welding.

Shift: 6:30 AM 7:00pm, 2
nd
Shift: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
Candidate must be willing to work either shift. Overtime is available.
Essential Job Functions
Must be able to work as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
Must be computer proficient.
Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hanger and ramp environment.
