As an HR Recruiter, you will play a central role in finding passionate, dedicated and mission-driven employees to join our agency! The HR Recruiter attends career fairs, conducts phone screenings and group interviews, reviews resumes, and communicates with program directors to ensure that each program's hiring needs are met. This is an excellent opportunity to gain Human Resources experience within a nonprofit, collaborative setting. The Recruitment team is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of the agency's marketing and advertising materials as it relates to recruitment and general branding efforts. This position will have a hybrid work schedule with the expectation that you are onsite 2 times a week at our Oakland headquarters.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain applicant database and efficiently track and record associated paperwork.
  • Research, coordinate, and attend career fairs.
  • Order and maintain career fair supplies.
  • Effectively track applicants as they go through the interview process, which may or may not include:
    • Review and conduct telephone screenings of resumes.
    • Maintain and coordinate agency openings and interview schedules.
    • Complete employment verifications as needed.
    • Conduct and begin reference checks as needed.
  • Maintain program staffing charts and communicate efficiently with directors.
  • Research and establish effective recruitment for all agency positions.
  • Update and maintain job postings on the intranet and main agency websites.
  • Assist with internet advertising.


Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Minimum education/experience requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree + 1 year of applicable work experience OR
    • Associate's degree or equivalent + 2 year of applicable work experience OR
    • High school diploma/GED + 3 years of applicable work experience
    • Applicable work experience includes any paid or unpaid experience in an administrative capacity requiring customer service, data entry, ability to prioritize multiple projects within strict deadlines, and/or coordination with multiple departments
  • Direct care experience in the mental health or education field
  • Own vehicle, valid California driver's license, and insurability through Seneca's automobile insurance.
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster.

Preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.

Schedule:
  • Full time, Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm
  • Hybrid work schedule
    • 2 days a week at Seneca Golf Links Campus in Oakland, CA

  • Salary range is $29.81 - $32.31 per hour, commensurate with experience
