SHIFT: 8AM 5PM, Mon-Fri


POSITION OVERVIEW:


NCW is searching for a mechanically inclined Technical Assistant to support our client's technical team and product managers at their manufacturing facility in Charlotte. This position may be called upon to quote, repair, set up installations, and provide advice for various systems within the product line. This position will work diligently with the technical team/department to provide customers and sales with immediate answers. Pocket doors and standard units would be the main area of focus. Producing and maintaining daily quotes for jobs in the field. These quotes translate into purchase orders that are then built in-house and shipped out. This is not an IT position.


JOB DUTIES:


  • Update and maintain all systems (Salesforce and configurator) and databases with careful attention to detail.
  • Assist and maintain an expected high level of work quality.
  • Serve as a liaison between management, the team, and the customer.
  • Quote and advise customers and sales on applications and jobs.
  • Constant training on all products lines with a specific on mechanics.
  • Direct communications with product manager and technical support team to fill in any internal gaps in support.
  • Maintain up to date and constant communication with sales and customers via email and phone.
  • Assist in shop projects and training related tasks when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Certifications, associates, or bachelor s degree in practical science, mechanical engineering, carpentry, or electronics or equivalent experience. Or a well-documented work history of at least 5 years of work in the field.
  • Average computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Suites. Must be able to professionally respond to customers verbally or in writing.
  • Customer service skills and phone etiquette
  • Demonstrable leadership and professionalism skills.
  • Comfortable to advocate and problem solve when needed.
  • A critical thinker with a positive attitude.
  • Dedicated to constant improvement and attention to detail.
  • Understand and has experience with helpdesk, customers, and quoting.
