Multifamily Construction Manager


Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to subcontractors and vendors onsite and resolve problems as needed.
  • Identify constructability issues, design deficiencies, code violations, etc. and escalate accordingly.
  • Assist project team in project start up, including but not limited to obtaining permits and jobsite mobilization.
  • Assist with setting up jobsite logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
  • Assist with scheduling all trades and maintaining schedule.
  • Attend subcontractor and safety meetings; lead meetings when necessary.
  • Responsible for onsite related paperwork including but not limited to daily reports, safety reports and incident reports.
  • Manages and maintains delivery tickets.
  • Observe and enforces company safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions and rectifies job site hazards immediately; ensures equipment and materials are used per OSHA guidelines.
  • Responsible for enduring safety documentation onsite; including but not limited to SDS sheets and QC/QA plans.
  • Provides technical leadership, direction and feedback to the Assistant Superintendent(s).
  • Attends weekly progress meeting with Owner, Architect and Construction team (OAC).
  • Consistently monitors and reports progress to Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager. Rapidly adapts and responds to changes and priorities as necessary.
  • Generates and issues regular internal project reports through company software (Procore).
  • Utilizes PayScan (Yardi) to review and approve subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices. Verifies accuracy in field quantities and or stated progress.
  • Responsible for scheduling all inspections.
  • Assists Project Manager in closing out projects; including but not limited to inspections, punch list completion, obtaining sign offs, obtaining certificates of occupancy, etc.


Requirements:

  • Minimum four years construction management experience required; a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be proficient in most Microsoft based applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; proficiency in Procore strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Must have a clear understanding of how to read survey stakes and calculate grade elevations.
  • Strong knowledge base of building components including but not limited to foundation and structural systems, exterior wall systems, interior finishes, electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
