HVAC Manager



Established commercial and residential Mechanical Contractor in PG County is looking for a experienced HVAC Manager to oversee the companies HVAC department. Position offers excellent pay, benefits, and room for professional growth.



HVAC Manager requirements

  • HVAC Journeyman trade license

  • Technical expertise and working knowledge in residential and light commercial HVAC equipment including split systems, ductless systems, gas fired heating equipment, exhaust fans, ductwork installation.

  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment.

  • Ability to perform jobsite visits accessing equipment in remote or elevated locations by ladder or other means.

  • Ability to assess installations ensuring code requirements and any job specifications are met.

  • Ability to counsel and train service technicians in proper techniques and strategies

  • Availability to direct and assist emergency repairs.

  • Ability to physically assist with HVAC system equipment installation.




HVAC Manager Duties


  1. Oversee, direct and ensure HVAC department operations are performed in an efficient and correct fashion by paying close attention to all HVAC related work performed by the company and taking steps to make any changes or corrections needed.

  2. Review of daily work schedule, discuss any concerns with dispatch and department manager.

  3. Ensure technicians are assigned work appropriate to their skills.

  4. Ensure equipment is ordered, available and delivered as needed.

  5. Ensure permits are obtained and inspections completed.

  6. Review of completed service job work orders.

  7. Review of parts needed or equipment replacement jobs.

  8. Parts and replacement equipment ordering and

  9. Assist with compiling of job quotes.
