Attorney - Compliance Computer Hardware

Our client, a social media company, is looking to hire an IT (hardware) compliance contract attorney for approximately 3 months or longer. This is a fully REMOTE role.

Required Experience:

1. EU product regulations (EU Batteries Regulation, EU RoHS, EU Radio Equipment Directive, etc.).
2. International market expansion work for hardware products.
3. Experience providing compliance support in hardware product launches.
4. Bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction
5. At least 5 years' or more experience in relevant subject matters
6. Ability to work 40 hours a week on a West coast schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to a broad range of business and legal partners on hardware product and environmental compliance-related legal obligations and associated risks impacting hardware devices manufactured, imported and sold by our client including electrical safety, wireless technology, hardware circularity/sustainability, material content, dangerous goods/hazmat, packaging, batteries and extended producer responsibility obligations.
• Support hardware product launch and global market expansion workstreams related to the same.
• Summarizing emerging legislation in the same above subject matter areas.
