The Inside Sales Brokerage Representative will have complete ownership of a brokerage book of business within the Hub organization. From prospect to delivery, you will be responsible for bringing in new brokerage business, servicing to exceed customer expectations, and delivering a superior product within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop strong relationships with new customers to the Hub organization
  • Continuously strive for new account growth while focusing on current business growth and service
  • Manage daily internal and external communication, including rate negotiations, overcoming objections, and providing the value proposition of Hub Group's multimodal offerings
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment that will allow you to thrive based on self-driven results
  • Willingness to adapt to the ever-changing industry and take on additional responsibilities as the department continues to grow and new processes are put into place
  • Full management of customers from an account management standpoint including but not limited to; managing costs to maximize profit, managing problem resolution, ensuring execution KPI are being met, and continual process improvement as your book of business grows
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience preferred
  • Self-Starter, ability to work autonomously on accounts from end to end
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation and customer service skills
  • Motivated by incentives and growing a book of business
  • Resilient as business builds over time and cold calling can be grueling
  • CRM software and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred: Will be documenting new customers, contacts and pertinent information to the sale.
