Inventory Specialist
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate inventory level of all components in the inventory system compared to physical inventory.
- Use inventory system to close and work orders and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
- To validate inventory deductions from the system and physical inventory for work orders derived from BOM.
- With engineering and production set minimum stock levels and re-order when required.
- Create and use reports from the inventory system daily to ensure physical and system integrity.
- Understand consequential actions. For example, if a unit is placed into MRB or to be scrapped, the action has to be performed and appropriate inventory deductions should be made.
- Raise requisitions for replenishment and monitor procurement lifecycle through to receiving and stocking in house.
- Liaise with production and engineering to ensure requirements are met.
- Ensure close contact with finance to ensure financial integrity is ensured
- Management of consignment inventory for customers
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years inventory management experience in electronics assembly or electronics distribution.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel (well beyond data entry. Be able to build spreadsheets, use formulae and charts) and MS Word.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems
- Strong understanding of inventory management and procurement in an accounting project
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking
- Supervise 1 person
- Strong understanding of accounting treatments as regards to inventory
- Detailed Supervision of 1 data entry person
- Reports to CEO

- Track record of cost reduction through procurement techniques and negotiation
