Summary:

Join an expanding Sales team. We're seeking a Sales Representative to oversee product and equipment rental/sales for the concrete forming and shoring business, specifically the elevator & hoist division. This Sales Rep will drive revenue growth by generating sales leads, making prospect calls, and fostering strong relationships with current and prospective clients in the commercial and heavy civil/infrastructure construction sectors, paving the way for future sales opportunities.



Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business, marketing, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and envisioning elevator, hoisting, shoring, forming, and scaffolding plans
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the elevator and/or hoist industry
  • Experience should include equipment rental and sales
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals / professional journals / technical procedures/regulations (government)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, business correspondence, and interacting with various stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally and occasionally overnight
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Knowledge/usage of basic algebra and geometry
  • Problem-solving skills to handle practical issues and navigate situations with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret instructions provided in any form


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new customers by developing valuable leads
  • Address the needs and requirements of the existing client base, offering technical advice as needed
  • Maintain project records to effectively manage job sites and generate necessary reports
  • Assist in bidding on jobs and conducting material takeoffs
  • Resolve customer disputes during contract setup and provide support to Customer Service Representatives post-contract completion
  • Determine initial equipment and labor availability and provide clarification on terms and conditions to customers
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations departments
  • Generate revenue in commercial / construction markets
  • Foster growth within existing customer accounts and cultivate relationships with new accounts to increase market share
  • Develop/execute strategies to expand target accounts, whether by geography, market segment, product line, or account, resulting in revenue growth
  • Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer contacts, and meeting details in a timely manner
  • Deliver technical presentations on products and services to clients
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
