Responsibilities
As an Outdoor Sports Guide,you will play the role of an ambassador of fun , engaging our guests, keeping them entertained and safe. You will be introducing both locals and tourists to the area s unique and popular attractions and activities. You will also instruct guests in proper operation of bicycles, safe and efficient cycling techniques and proper hiking techniques. You will operate a 15-passenger van, at times pulling a large bike trailer. Our tours are generally on the smaller/ more intimate side of less than 7 people, but can also be larger with multiple guides, so you have to like both working independently and working effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
It is preferred that you have 2+ years of experience in guiding, recreation, sports or customer service.
You will need to be 21 years of age or older and have a valid state driver's license with no moving violations for the previous 3 years.
You absolutely, positively need to enjoy spending time with people and being able to carry the conversation easily and engagingly. if you have a background, interest or skills in bicycling, that is a huge plus.
