Center Point offers rehabilitation and treatment services that interrupt the abusive cycles of psychological, social and economic dislocation by providing critical training and support so that individuals and families can claim self-worth and dignity.


Counselors: Non-profit social service agency, seeks certified and experienced substance abuse counselors to conduct screening and assessments; provide individual and group counseling; develop treatment plans; create and maintain client charts in compliance with regulatory agencies and funder; facilitate relapse prevention and continuing care services; and provide follow-up and aftercare counseling and case management in residential and out-patient settings. Counselors must be registered or certified by a State of California Accredited Institution. Currently looking at residential and outpatient programs for both men's and women's settings. The schedule could require weekends/evenings so it must be flexible.


There are openings for evening and nighttime shifts.


Prior experience working with clients in a substance abuse treatment program is required. Clinical Supervision toward licensure may be available for AMFT, APCC, and ACSW-level clinicians. Positions are currently available in Marin, Alameda, and Sacramento counties. The requirements for the position include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Substance Abuse counselor registration, certification, or clinical license from a State of California Accredited Institution; CCAPP, CADTP, CAADE, BBS (LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience providing substance abuse treatment services with criminal justice populations (state parole and probation) is required;
  • Experience with evidence-based substance abuse treatment models and an understanding of treatment modalities is expected;
  • Knowledge of community resources and services is preferred;
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a criminal justice security clearance;
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.


- To be considered for a Drug and Alcohol Counselor Position you must be certified by or at least register with one of the following entities (being registered for school only does not count):


  • California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAAP) Accredited Program Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor
  • California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP) Accredited Program Certified Alcohol & Other Drug Counselor
  • California Association for Drug and Alcohol Educators (CAADE) Accredited Program


Salary:


Registered: $24-$26/HR (Depending on experience)


Certified: $27-$31/HR (Depending on experience)
