May serve food cafeteria style, or directly to the tables. Sets tables with glasses, silverware, condiments, and other associated items. Removes soiled linens, wipes tables, and resets. Scrapes dishes, separating food waste from trash. Pre-rinses dishes, glasses and flatware, and loads into dishwasher. May hand wash dishes. When cleaned, stacks and stores clean dishes. Assists cook by preparing and cleaning fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping and dicing. Cuts and shreds lettuce, slices tomatoes, cuts lemons, prepares butter chips and opens cans. Makes coffee and tea, prepares ice water and other beverages in serving dishes. May place food proportionally in small serving dishes. Cleans cooking and serving equipment in kitchen and dining area. Washes coffee urns, scrubs pots and pans, and work tables. Cleans grease traps in sinks. Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors. Disposes of food and waxes floors. Disposes of food waste and trash. Assists in unloading supply trucks and storing of heavy supplies. Carries supplies between storerooms, kitchen, and dining and bar areas. May run short on-base errands. May be required to occasionally perform other duties.**QUALIFICATIONS**: **MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION NOT AVAILABLE AT NIGHT**. May be required to obtain and maintain a yearly Medical Health Card and Food Sanitation Certification. Position requires moderate lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds (over 40 pounds with assistance). Ability to do tasks requiring several steps and to use judgment in a sequence of tasks. Ability to operate automatic kitchen equipment, i.e. electric can opener and dishwasher. Ability to read simple instructions while using cleaning compounds. Ability to follow oral instructions. **PAY**: **$15.75** an hour, eligible for night shift differential - **AMENDED RATE**

**EMPLOYMENT STATUS:** A flexible employee is one who serves in either a continuing or temporary (time limited) position, on a scheduled or unscheduled (as needed or intermittent) basis, up to 40 hours per week. Flexible employees are not eligible to participate in the CNIC benefit programs, nor are they entitled to earn or use leave including military leave, court leave, sick or annual leave.

**WORK SCHEDULE**: Averages 29 hours per week; s*chedule will include nights, holidays and weekend duty.*

APPLICANTS CLAIMING HIRING PREFERENCE:

1. **Reemployment Priority List (RPL):** Qualifying separated employees shall have priority placement in the NAF activity from which they were separated as a result of a Business Based Action (BBA), when the position has substantially the same duties as the position from which they were separated and it is not a higher grade or employment category, provided the position is not being filled by an internal candidate.

**2. Military Spouse Preference (MSP):** Qualifying spouses eligible for MSP are spouses of an active duty military member of the U.S. Armed Forces, including members of the National Guard or Reserves on active duty. The marriage must have occurred before the military member received official permanent change of station (PCS) orders to the installation listed above. MSP is applicable only when applying for NAF positions at the NF-03 and below and equivalent craft and trade (CT) positions.

To claim this preference, you MUST:

* Submit sponsors PCS orders to installation you are applying for; AND

* If you are not indicated as a spouse on the PCS orders, you MUST submit proof of marriage prior to PCS.

**3. Veterans Preference/Gold Star Veteran's Preference**: Qualifying military veterans, and spouses/parents of deceased veterans shall be given employment preference over non-preference applicants if they are equally qualified. Preference applicable for positions open to external candidates.

To claim Veteran's preference, you MUST:

* Submit a copy of your DD-214 (member 4 copy); AND

* Submit completed SF15 from the Veterans Administration (VA); AND
