Role & Responsibilities: - As part of the Owner???s Team, the Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for maintaining an integrated master schedule for authorizations, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Integrate and maintain schedules (Owner, consultants, and contractors).
- Disseminate scheduling templates and coordinate as required to construct and maintain project schedules.
- Publish integrated schedule to Project Team on a weekly basis.
- Provide input on scheduling trends, conflicts, risks, and opportunities that will affect both weekly execution and project deliverables.
- Review the forecast for each project component to ensure alignment to the master schedule.
- Ensure that the master schedule reflects all known and anticipated constraints (capacity availability and material availability).
- Provide input to weekly and monthly reports that reconcile to baseline and control schedule.
- Comparing physical job progress against contractor progress reports and schedule updates.
- Assisting consultants, contractors & vendors in the set-up and implementation of contractual schedule requirements.
- Support all project groups with respect to planning of engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Other related tasks as required.
Qualifications / Requirements: - Must be Spanish Speaking
- Minimum of 7 years in construction or mining projects with 5-year minimum experience directly in scheduling.
- Degree or diploma in construction related field considered an asset.
- Will consider dynamic candidate without degree with considerable experience who can handle the role.
- Mining or heavy industrial construction experience considered an asset.
- Expert in the use of P6 Primavera; with a working knowledge of other scheduling packages.
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications.
- Excellent planning, leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact within all levels of the organization.
- Ability and willingness to travel for site work rotations.
