*Permanent position working 40 hours per week over 5 days to a roster covering 7 days a week.*

Napier War Memorial Centre is the only dedicated conference and events venue in Hawke's Bay. The venue operates on any one of 7 days, with events and conferences starting nice and early in the mornings and finishing late into the evenings. One day you will be able to enjoy the stunning Hawkes Bay sunrise from the most optimal viewing location then another day you will get to see the sparkling lights of Marine Parade and the changing colours of the iconic Tom Parker Fountain.

We are seeking a professional communicative person to help us assist with the preparation of the Napier War Memorial Centre for its conference and events. You will be joining a highly experienced and skilled team who are responsible for the presentation, setup, pack-down and cleaning of all rooms to meet the needs of the customer. In addition, you will ensure all furniture and equipment is cared for and stored correctly, and be able to undertake minor repairs if necessary.

To be successful in this role you will be enthusiastic and have a passion for delivering excellent quality and standards as you will play a key role in ensuring our clients' needs are met and that they all have a great customer experience.

**We will only be taking applications from people who have:**

* previous experience in venue and event preparation

* previous experience in commercial cleaning

* amazing customer service skills

* the flexibility to work weekends, evenings and additional hours in line with our conferences and events

* the ability to undertake manual/physical work

Whilst this role is primarily based at the Napier War Memorial Centre you may also be required to work at other Napier City Council facilities.
